End of day three

Today was a pretty exciting day for Jackson.

First, Jackson got a bath. He hadn't had one since his first one in the nursery shortly after he was born. He smelled so fresh and so clean afterwards. He needed to be presentable because...

Later, he got his pictures made by the photographer that comes around the hospital to take pictures. He wore his onesie that says "Jackson" across the front that his Aunt Elizabeth gave him. Not too sure that any of his pictures are worth buying. I think that the pictures that we take are just as good (if not better) and they are free. :)

Speaking of pictures, I found a better way to share them in a gallery format instead of the way I had mentioned before. Now you can view the pictures online instead of having to download to see them. Like before, I have the albums set up by date so you can see how Jackson grows and matures with each passing day. Go to http://gallery.me.com/jagreen12

As you can see in the pictures. Robyn came by again to see how he was doing. And before she left, Aunt Katherine and Uncle Ben came to town and paid us a visit. While they were here, Jackson went to get weighed. As of last night, he had lost 5.4% of his weight. The nurse told us that between 7% and 10% is normal/acceptable for the first week or so while newborns are learning to eat, so we were glad it was less than that. But as of tonight, he had only lost 3.8%, which means he gained some weight back today. That doesn't surprise me because he was a trooper and did a good job of nursing with Allison and also taking a bunch of formula.

Now, we are relaxing/snoozing preparing for the 11:30pm feeding. After that, all three of us are going to get our sleep in two and a half hour increments for the rest of the night. We try to feed Jackson every three hours and that takes about 30 minutes to do.

Allison had her epidural hook up removed today so she was able to finally really walk around and start moving...remember, she had been on bed rest for several weeks leading up to birth, so this is unfamiliar to her. She was also able to take a shower and just clean herself up a little bit which I know made her feel better.
