Baby Shower & Decorating Jackson’s Room

This past weekend My Mom and sisters came to town for our Baby Shower on Sunday. Katherine and mom came in Thursday night and we planned what we wanted to put on the walls in Jackson’s Room. Then Friday we got up and went to Hobby Lobby to gather all of the supplies. We then picked up Elizabeth from the airport and did some more shopping. We visited a couple of baby stores and also went to Allen to scope out the outlet malls. Jonathan came home early on Friday to meet the people that delivered the baby crib and glider. When we got home from the outlet mall it was all set up (including the bedding)! It looks really good. Then later Friday night we put different scrap book papers on letters using Mod Podge to spell Jackson’s name to hang on the wall. His room is going to be by far the best decorated room in the house! Once we finish organizing it, I will post pictures of how everything turned out.

Then Saturday, my friend Ashley came in from Houston to host the baby shower. Casey picked her up from the airport and then came over to see the duplex. We went to eat lunch and then went to Northpark to go shopping. Casey brought Tatum, who was such a good little shopper! I was ready to call it a day and we decided to go back to the house. Robyn and Reecie came over for a little bit to see Jackson’s room and hang out. Everyone got to see Jackson kick and move around so that was kind of fun.

On Sunday, my friends from high school (Ashley & Casey) and friends from college (Robyn & Reecie) hosted a baby shower for Jackson at Robyn’s house. It was so much fun. Thank you so much – we really appreciate it and I can’t wait for you all to meet Jackson!

My friend Jill came from Austin to the shower. I was so glad she was able to come. I haven’t seen her or her son Clarke in a while and it was good to see them. I also had a friend from work that recently moved to Houston, Karen, come in for the shower as well. It was really good to see her too and it made me realize how much I miss her at work. It was so good to see everyone and thank you all for taking the time to come to the shower. Everyone was so generous and we are so blessed to have such great friends!
