Non-hospital bed rest

Allison had a doctor's appointment this morning to follow up what happened last week (see previous blog post). Her blood pressure is still low enough when she lays down that she is being allowed to go another week at the house on her back. This is good news since the last thing we wanted was for her to be stuck in a hospital bed for a couple of weeks. Jackson is doing well. He is moving around a lot and the fetal monitoring that was done this morning looked good according to Allison's doctor. So as of now, the birth date has been set: November 4th. Allison will be admitted to the hospital Tuesday (November 3rd) night to begin the process of inducing labor. Her OBGYN is on call beginning Wednesday morning at 8am, so that's why the day is what it is.

There are no certainties that Allison will make it that long before inducing becomes necessary, but her doctor said there is a "real good chance" that they can wait until November 4th to induce, which is 38 full weeks and not a big deal. As long as Allison's blood pressure remains low and Jackson gets plenty of blood flow, November 4th will be the special day. 16 days and counting...
